Treatment Specialties
Hearing assessment for children (3+ Age)
- A detailed assessment is conducted
- A detailed history of the ear is taken by the audiologists
- An Otoscopy is performed where the structures of the ear are analysed and their health is seen to
- Pure tone audiometry is done to ascertain at which frequencies sounds can be heard clearly
- The conduction of sound in the middle ear is assessed
- Speech testing is done to check whether the child can distinguish between speech and background noise
- Follow-ups and recommendations if needed
- Written report to the parent or school in case exception needs to be made at school
Hearing assessment for Adults
- History of the ear health is taken and checks are conducted
- 60 minutes comprehensive appointment
- Otoscopy includes checks of the ear structures and canals
- Pure tone audiometry is conducted wherein the subject is required to wear headphones and sounds of various frequencies are sent through the headphones. The test checks at what frequencies the sounds can be heard
- The health of the middle ear is assessed to check the conduction of sound
- Speech audiometry is conducted to assess how well the subject can distinguish speech from background noise
- Medical Referral not required

Auditory Processing Disorder (APD)
- A case history will be taken to know since when the difficulty has been present
- An assessment will be done to check the source of the problem
- An Auditory Memory Test is conducted to assess phonological or echoic memory and visual cues will be tested
- Auditory processing tests are done to check if the subject is able to analyse acoustic events over time and communication skills are checked
- A comprehensive report is prepared and given to the subject
